I believe in the importance of getting to know my tutoring students and gaining their trust. I enjoy learning from their questions and experiences as well as helping them to succeed and prepare for their future endeavors. I tailor each tutoring session to the current understanding and needs of my student. Rather than simply answering a student's questions, I help them to engage the problem so that they can fully understand it and how to approach finding a solution. I am available to tutor students in numerous subjects including algebra, calculus, geometry, chemistry, physics, and Mandarin Chinese.I am currently working on my bachelor's degree in Chemistry at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York. I have lived and attended school in China as well as in the United States. I tutored, mainly in mathematics and the sciences, through my high school's JROTC program. I have also had the wonderful experience of tutoring Mandarin Chinese here at Vassar. When I'm not studying or tutoring, I enjoy basketball, reading, and video games.
